How come there is nothing about this in any section of TWW?

Turn on your TV for live footage. All the luggage is neatly laid out on the tarmac at Boston's Airport and is being sniffed at by a big black dog. Looks really surreal.



Flight diverted to Boston over passenger disturbance

I heard those reports about the screwdriver and the note, but then I heard they were false. I was waiting to see if they were fleshed out later.

Also, it was CNN I saw reporting it, and FOX News that said it was false (although they admitted to having reported it as well)

That "screwdriver" is out of place there with the other objects (vaseline, woman, and "activity"). I think it is a euphemism for something else!

But, what's really disturbing here, and this seems to be a general trned in the world, is the fact that even though the reports about those objects (screwdriver, vaseline, matches, and AL-QAEDA note) have been officially denied, someone actually came up with those rumors.

I mean, what great imagination! Those objects apparently never existed. But some stupid gung-ho eyewitness (probably someone prejudiced, because s/he came up with the mythical Al-Qaeda note) must have made that up. I mean, it is easy to see how words can be confused and rumors can start based on something someone said. But, claiming to have seen objects which never existed??? And such obscure objects at that? That's fucked up.

Of course, we need more clarification and updates as to what really happened.

Agreed. It reminds me of the reports on 9/11 that car bombs were going off near the State Department. Gotta wonder where some people come up with this stuff...
