Didn't see any posts bout this show yet...even though it's on Wed night (first day back to school) I wouldn't miss this for anything. Some living legends, and all original lineups.

Found this review of a show earlier on the tour:

Also, Tremont is a huge hole in the wall...perfect for a show like this. Who else is makin the trek?

^^^Tremont's in a bad neighborhood, but it's not exactly a hole in the wall.

eh, yah...I guess that's what I meant. Sketch neighborhood, spent many a night standin in line in that parkin lot waitin to get in there though. I'm reallly pumped to see X live, I hear they are just freakin amazing still. Billy Zoom is one of my fave guitarists...he even has his own model Gretsch guitar out all rockabilly style.

Only 3 more days!

Wow...so I wanted to update on this show. Freakin' incredible. After seeing these two bands, every other show I go to now will just feel weak. I feel like I just had front row seats to see Sabbath or The Ramones or something.

The opening band seemed like they were tryin a lil hard (Riverboat Gamblers), but their drummer and bassist were real good. Drummer apparantly was new to the group too.

Rollins Band was simply amazing. You would never know that they are in their 40s...they all gave 110% and never let up. They were like one cohesive unit..hitting on all cylinders. We were standing pretty much front and center (one line of people in front of us, then the barrier) and ole Hank was right in our face. I really love the drumming of Sim Cain and the PRS/Mesa Boogie combo that Chris Haskett plays through. Gotta cool story about Chris also, but I'll get back to that. Highlights were Disconnect, Icon, Liar(crowd favorite), and Civilalized.

After their hour set, it was time to get ready for X, mainly by catchin my breath and tryin to dry off the sweat soaked shirt of mine. They came out and from the onset you could tell they are so comfortable on stage. I have heard from a lot of sources that they do not even practice anymore. Billy Zoom cranked out the rockabilly/Chuck Berryish intros, riffs, and solos with an ear piercing tone through his self-made amp (coolass ZOOM logo on it). You could hear this amp over all the PA, not too often you can hear that at a show. Billy makes playin look so easy, he is just smiling and starin out into the crowd the whole time....completly automatic for him. John Doe and Exene were doin their now patented harmonizing and John was playin it up to the crowd through all his playin. Crowd went wild on the chorus' to Phone's off the Hook, Los Angeles, House that I Call Home, Adult Books, Nausea, Soul Kitchen, and The World's A Mess...It's in My Kiss. They fucking rocked.

Some additional things that really made my night:
Got John Doe's setlist, which was also cool as hell. Gonna be gettin a frame for it. Walked outside and Chris Haskett was just bullshitting w/ the guys that were standin in front of us for the show. We started talkin to him and he was really just a cool, down to earth guy. Wouldn't have ever known he was a lead guitarist for a rock band of that magnitude...not something you see in most music these days. He talked about gettin the band back together w/ Henry (funny story), made fun of young (12-14 y/o) mohawk punker kids w/ T-shirts of bands that were either dead or broken up before they were born, the intensity of touring, and finally his gear. I told him to come play in Raleigh on their next tour (which he said was gonna happen). Dude gave us his card and told us to keep in touch...fuckin awesome.

Anyone who made the trip share thier thoughts....Show was fantastic.
