There was no legitimate brent road party when I was in college (2000-2004)

2000 must have been the year they cracked down and the party was eventually held 2 weeks later and led to some nice rioting and projectile glass bottles

I got a letter IN THE MAIL from "chancellor fox" saying that the Brentroad party was NOT to happen.. But go to the alternate thing they did. This was fall 2000 when i was coming as a freshman.

2000 was the sneak attack year. 1999 was so good because the cops couldn't handle it. In years past, they had ticketed anyone who came on a sidewalk or the street with alcohol. But in 99, they just got overrun so the streat was stacked full of people all the way from Gorman to the top of the hill.

So fucking stupid how Raleigh kills off everything. Tailgating is now on it's way down

in 1999 there were naked people on top of their roofs.....people were hanging off light poles....paddy wagon couldnt drive through the street without the cops pushing people out of the way....people were throwing bottles at the cops....and my parents were sitting at home in hickory watching the shit on the news live....

Same here. I remember people jumping on the police van and rocking it as it tried to make it's way up the hill through throngs of people. I thought they were going to turn the damn thing over.

yep '99 i remember it. if you didnt what is the deal, you'd think you are at the concert.

there was another big party organized every year near crossing of avent ferry and gorman near that food lion (across from it). there had to be at least 500-800 people there and who knows how many kegs.
