carmelo fucking went off in the 3rd quarter. he scored 19 points. he was hitting pretty much every conceivable type of shot. he and wade saved team usa from a loss. italy played them very tough until late in the 4th quarter.i think italy's lead was 12 points early in the 3rd.

all around, it was a shitty game for the u.s.

i fucking hate redick, but he'll be a huge asset... assuming he still shoots well. i just hope he doesn't think he'll be able to handle the ball or drive to the hoop, like he did while playing at duke. it's one thing to embarass yourself in front of regional or national crowd, but it'd be a travesty for the world to bear witness.
