Glad they're calling it that. Historically, and to half of the world, it was The Pacific War, not World War II. It lasted 15 years and was more brutal than you think.

I'll be watching.

Aside from what kind of bizarre shit was running through the brains of Hitler/Patton/Rommel and the imagery of the Third Reich, I've always been more interested in the Pacific War. Should be excellent if they get it off the ground.

To really get the full story of the Pacific War, you'll need to not only watch this series and read our vet's accounts, but you should also read Senso and view Tora! Tora! Tora!

Speaking of the Pacific War, I can't wait for Flags of Our Fathers about the 6 men who raised the flag on Iwo Jima. Clint Eastwood is directing.

I actually picked up the book that its based on last week and its excellent so far.

Ive heard they will be using the same film crew from Flags of our Fathers, the same thing the did with Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. Should be great!

I'd love to see a miniseries based on a WWII bomber crew along the same lines. That couldn't be too expensive to do.

I am interested to see what they actually choose to film. Alot of BoB was what they were doing when no major fighting was actually going on. But in the Pacific theatre once they clear a island, for the most part, there isnt that much of a threat from enemies. But in BoB the enemy was always in the other tree line.
