I know, it's probably stupid I havn't learned how to do this, but you gotta go along with the program sometime.

Can anyone explain how to do this; I've seen it done maybe twice before? And, the more force applied to the throw will it have a greater magnus effect?

hold it like above, put pressure on the stitching with your middle finger, throw ball and snap your hand down on release to give the ball topspin. the back of your hand should be facing the batter after you've released the ball.

the more pressure you exert on the stitching with your middle finger and the harder you throw it/snap your wrist, the better the curve effect
