So is your contention that they made this up or that Iraq may <~~~key word
have been involved in training terrorist operatives in 9/11?

I'm not sure here.

why not for the media at large?

I'm just wondering why this specific interpretation and document was made so "exclusive" to fox and not the other outlets. for all i know, they could have been i suppose. iran did. libya did. syria did. the list goes on....

Well an exclusive usually means they paid someone to let them report on it alone for a period of time.
I'd say this is a pretty awesome exclusive if it panned out to be true.

But, even if it does, we won't hear about it until after elections.

this is not suprising.

saddam's ties to terrorism have been documented by many military sources as well as lesser-known media outlets.

Also, its the most likely scenario. Iran anyone?

And I like how news is a commodity here, for sale to the highest bidder to keep some people in the dark and others smug about their superiority.

I've been more and more disturbed about this aspect of news as well. It happens on every network ever.
I remember seeing a television special about how news used to be a loss-leader for broadcasting companies just so they could have a complete network. But with the advent of CNN and televised news 24/7, they expect a proft now.

Its an interesting delimma for me, because generally profit motives are a fantastic thing for efficiency. Maybe it really isn't that bad and I just find it unpalatable.
