this has nothing to do with this thread for the most part, but just now during this halftime show for nevada-fresno st., all these commentators' voices jumped like four octaves when it came time to talk about usc

manny just intercepted a tipped pass and ran for a TD

scratch that, they just said he was down by contact (he did a roll after he caught the ball and then got up and ran), so no TD, but it was still sweet

tonight the wolf (space) pack exhibited clock management and play calling comparable to a certain other canis-lupus-oriented team

by which i mean they kicked it away when down by 9 with 5 minutes left, then ran nothing but 5- to 10-yard out-routes when they finally got the ball back, and THEN went for the TD from the 30 yard line with 30 seconds left rather than kicking the FG and giving special teams a chance for the TD.
