I got a call from FinAid today saying they gave me too much money because apparently the $1000+ in child care I planned to spend every month isn't recognized expenditure because the facility I chose is a "private daycare." For starters, I don't think there are public daycares ... anyway the lady says they took away my subsidized stafford for the spring and replaced it with unsubsidized. Now, even without child care, I qualify for full aid. My question is are they allowed to do that? Are they planning to come after me for back-funds? Can't go to student legal because they can't represent any students against the university 9/1/2006 12:03:55 AM |

i've gotten an extra loan the other year, but i had to get a statement from the child care place stating how much i'd owe for the semester...
all i did was get a hand written letter from the lady who owns it. 9/1/2006 12:17:09 AM |

1) Talk with Financial Aid about the situation. Specifically, the person who called you. They will best be able to answer your questions. 2) Talk with Financial Aid about the situation.
