^ yes. honestly. 4 tires pulling (lockers) is worse than 1 tire pulling (fwd)? nope. try again. 9/1/2006 2:08:20 PM |

well you still have one more tire pulling than a front wheel drive vehicle. so you still win

those are good, i'm running one in my front axle. they're drop-in, lunchbox style locker. read (cheaper)
also, you could check out lockright lockers, quik-loks, etc.
http://www.44magnumoffroad.com or http://www.carolinarockshop.com can hook you up. i've dealt with both guys (bill and andy respectively) and they're both good guys. 9/1/2006 3:05:21 PM |

i prefer miller brand kyle, you may have a stock limited slip in the rear. a large majority of rams do. in which case you'll have to swap to an open carrier, or use a full case locker like a detroit. if you already have an open carrier, go for a lock rite. the stock rear axle is damn strong for a half ton, no need for a full case locker. i'd go with the locker matt suggested for the front. i'd say the same for the rear, but they don't make one for it. 9/1/2006 5:43:45 PM |

i love misdirecting these threads. i think i dont have a limited slip in the rear bc i was doing donuts in it the other day and only one wheel would start spinnin not both. same thing in the mud.
i might as well keep saving to throw a 360 in it or something of the sort compared to stuff that i dont really need yet.
what all is done to ur ram ivan? 9/1/2006 5:56:45 PM |

doesn't mean you don't have one... a limited slip is just that, it only limits slip. in many situations you'll notice only one tire spinning, or one spinning faster than another.
not really a whole lot of "ram" left on mine now. just the motor, frontend, cab, and part of the frame. the rest is custom fabrication through a collection of parts from other vehicles, some dodge some not. it's still in pieces at the moment, life got in the way of the buildup. now that i'm settled into a house of my own with a shop out back progress will resume. 9/1/2006 6:03:17 PM |

hmm i guess limited slip it does have. when i was stuck in the mud the front left would spin fsater than the front right. same with the rear.
to throw a 360 in im guessing new ecu and that's about it? new flywheel or anything like that? 9/1/2006 6:05:56 PM |

front def. doesn't have one. there should be a tag in your glovebox or under the hood that details what gears you have and if you have a limited slip. 3.55 (most likely) or 3.92 will be the gears, and it'll say track lock if you have a limited slip rear. 9/1/2006 6:30:23 PM |
