^^you're an idiot.
Kennedy's economic programs launched the country on a huge economic boom.
He was a strong proponent of equal rights, helping enact civil rights legislation and cultivating a civil rights revolution.
He stood up to the USSR during the cold war and made that maniac Kruschev blink.
That sounds like the work of a HORRIBLE president, right 9/2/2006 12:35:52 AM |

All the cold war presidents who covertly and openly propped up dictators fucked us up big time. The policy of supporting dictators sprouted from the completely bankrupt domino theory. This failure is a lesson on how unquestioned, vapid, and popular memes lead to horrible results when applied to reality. 9/2/2006 1:23:28 AM |

^ True enough. What I wonder about though, is to what extent the Cold War was itself a result of unquestioned, vapid, and popular memes... 9/3/2006 3:25:15 PM |

actually, the cold war was fabricated as a massive cover-up for the negotiations b/w the us, ussr, and the aliens, who began to enter into talks on economic relations following roswell. they broke down in the late 60s and we had to change the game by fabricating vietnam and landing on the moon to continue to divert attention from the program. reagan was a completely senile moron who actually believed the cold war story, but since they didnt trust him w/ the alien info, they just let him run with it. 9/3/2006 3:33:37 PM |

Right. The Truth is Out There.
No, what I'm commenting on is the decision to punctuate it at the Cold War. Why?

While not universally applicable, its a stretch to call it completely bankrupt. See the history of Laos and Cambodia.9/3/2006 4:14:39 PM |
