I'm thinking about trying to add a seperate delay to my wipers, since they don't come with one. I was thinking about adding a dial or switch that'll just run them every few seconds or so. Any ideas in what area to head in, or, has anyone else done the same thing?

you might be able to change out the control stalk for a newer one that does have the variable delay wipers. I'll see if I can find anything out about that.

I noticed tha they used the same connector and wiring, but is it simply a switch change, or is there a relay somewhere which actually does the delaying?

^^^^that works. My dad used it on his truck. It's ugly but it works.

I've actually got a spare windshield wiper stalk with delay from a 2002 Wrangler. Bought it as a whole unit off eBay when I needed a turn signal stalk. $15 and it's yours.

from what I've been told it's as simple as replacing the stalk and you should have the delay wipers like on newer models. Get the stuff from skack and you should be set.

if it is like most other vehicles, the motors, or at least the control board on the motor, is different.
