We need subjects (15 guys, 15 girls) to participate in a Virtual Reality Walking experiment. The virtual environment will be presented using an 8”×8” rear projection screen and stereo goggles. The study will require you to wear a full body harness and a baseball hat with a motion tracking sensor. The task will involve walking on a treadmill and navigating to a predifined destination while occasionally encountering visual and physical locomotion hazards in a virtual representation of city suburb.
The experiment will require each volunteer to commit a maximum of 2 hours in one session. All volunteers are expected to have 20/20, uncorrected visual acuity (without spectacles) and physically fit with treadmill training experience during the past 6 months. Participants will receive financial compensation of $20 for their time upon successful completion of the experiment. The experiment will be conducted at the Ergonomics laboratory in the 4th floor of Daniels Hall building at North Carolina State University.
For more information or to volunteer, email ncsuergolab@yahoo.com. http://www4.ncsu.edu/~masheikn/flyer.pdf

If you're fat enough that walking, not running on a treadmill is going to give you a hard time you need to get somewhere fast before you are dead. 9/4/2006 6:41:37 PM |

Mountainman - do you were glasses or contacts? Contacts are ok. Glasses could be problematic because of the stereogoggles. We want somebody comfortable in walking/running on treadmill. 9/7/2006 8:47:12 AM |

From Urban Dictionary:
Quote : | "noob - Generally, people use 'noob' as an applicable insult for anyone who happens to piss them off. A person will also often use this term to describe people that they feel are beneath them. Many times, during online arguments, players will pull this term out of their asses as an insult when their own 'wit' is running dry." |
Quote : | "e-penis - Online "social status" on an internet forum. Usually based on stats such as post count, or amount of time one has been a member.
Some people think having a large post count gives them a bigger e-penis" |
