Might as well get this started. This game should be a much better measuring stick for us than the App State game. Hopefully we don't have to open the playbook too much for a win in this one. I'd rather keep some of our plays hidden until the BC and FSU games. If the ball control offense continues to win us games I'll be happy, and I'm really glad to see that we were very disciplined during the last game. I'll probably be in Section 114.

I think it'd be cool for one game to have the sections around the stadium alter wearing red and white. like have section 7 all red and section 8 all white and so on.

yea, they returned 8 starters on each side of the ball from their MAC championship team last year

and our passing game is nonexistant...

I said this in another thread already... It looked to me like we ran maybe 15 different plays against ASU. I have a feeling that when we start playing better teams our play book will expand, and there will be a bit more passing, more down the field stuff to open up better running lanes for Andre and Tony.

I think we'll be just fine. Our team got alot of work out of the shot gun at the game, but they ran it almost every time. It would be stupid not to have a whole lot of passing plays out of those same formations..

^Not to mention, but our OC comes from a league where you have preseasons and you don't show off too much in the beginning. With that said, I hope this is the case and not because of a personel issue.

We should have enough decent WRs to have an average to above average passing game.

Before you attempt to make a subtle, sarcastic joke on our QB, make sure he has a losing record first. In the meantime, Marcus Stone is 6-1 and a helluva lot better than Gay Davis. This is possible however with strong defensive performances but overall, Stone has not made himself bashworthy yet. So until then, shitcan it.

Im just not setting myself up for future disappointment in thinking that we will have a solid passing game when our QB puts up 36 yards against a IAA defense, and I dont think that is too irrational or bashing Stone either.

I'm a strong beleiver that we haven't opened the vertical passing game on purpose. I will say I think our d-line is much better than our corners and Akron puts the ball in the air so much it should have helium in it. I like our team to come through with the running game still.

What is the deal with Ernest Jones and being listed as injured. I believe when the spring depth chart came out he was listed at 3rd string and now he's out with an injury? He was supposed to be one of our studs at LB so I'm not sure what to make of this.
