1st Annual Southeastern Regional Tribute To The KING Elvis Tribute Artist Competition
September 9th and 10th, 2006
Our program will bring over 20 Elvis Tribute Artists into Raleigh, NC to compete for $12,000 in cash and prizes. A portion of our ticket sales will be donated to two children’s charities: the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
This event will be held at the Meymandi Concert Hall, which is also the home of our own North Carolina Symphony, located in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
We also wish to invite you to attend this event. Our agenda follows:
Saturday, September 9th, 2006 – All of the Elvis Tribute Artists (ETA”s) will begin the competition at 11:00am. This will take approximately 4 ½ hours. You will be entertained by some of the best ETA’s in the business that will be performing all of the different eras in Elvis Presley’s career. The performers will wear a variety of Elvis costumes, ranging from the 1950’s to the 68’ comeback, and his concert/jumpsuit era of the seventies. This event is a first for Raleigh, and will be spectacular.
On Saturday night at the Raleigh Elks Lodge there will be a pig pickin. Most of the ETAs will be there and we will be having a “pass the mic”. This is a separate event and the cost is $ 10.00. Only 300 tickets will be sold. Contact Alvisshows, Inc. at 919-847-1997.
Sunday September 10,2006 – at 2pm the top 10 performers finish the competition, and while votes are being tabulated, you will be entertained by North Carolina’s own Keith Henderson, the 2002 Elvis National Champion, and his daughter. When the votes are counted, the $ 10,000 in prize money will be distributed.
The cost of a two-day ticket is $ 62.00. You will receive a separate ticket for each day. The tickets can be used by you, or distributed to friends, family, employees – whomever you choose for each day. Individual day ticket cost is $ 41.00.
