Long on prose and historical anecdotes, but short on substance.
He criticizes Rumsfeld for questioning the morality and intellect of the administration's critics, and then goes on to question the morality and intellect of Rumsfeld and the administration. He objects to Rummy warning of "a new type of fascism" and then later he asserts that the threat of fascism is coming from within the administration.
Sounds like a lot of petty bickering and hypocrisy to me.
He might have a point if Rumsfeld had done anything more than attack his critics by calling them names. Rumsfeld is a crazy old bastard, but he hasn't attempted to suppress dissent any more than Olbermann has attempted to suppress the administration with his little rant. 9/6/2006 1:34:43 AM |
