I live down in SC now and have a bunch of Furm alum as friends. They are pretty serious about their football program. One of my good friends was on the Furman team that beat UNC about 6 or so years ago.

this is true, but they are the same division as App and App is the defending national champ in that division.

im just talking about how everytime I talk to a UNC fan things go something like this...

"but UNC plays a tougher schedule so losing to such and such a team is just as good as State beating so and so, because so and so sucks."

I may be at this game. I have a buddy who goes to Furman who might be able to get us tickets. Furman is a decent team, their QB Ingle Martin transferred from Florida (he was a backup there not gettin any PT).

furman actually beat app in the regular season last year, and only lost 29-23 in the playoffs on a QB sneak w/2 minutes to go. they've got a chance if UNC takes this game lightly.

in general, 1-aa schools are cupcakes, at least compared to 1-a schools...but App and Furman are some of the best cupcake schools...I mean shit, Duke sucks and all but they got shutout by a 1-aa team...GO PALADINS!
