we have 7200 RPM drives in one of the old RAID enclosures at work...still running, just not on a primary server...but a quick fyi...installed in 1996...each of the drive motors, by the rationale of 7200 RPM for 10 years has gone through this many revolutions approximately:

37,843,200,000 revolutions or almost 38 billion revolutions

but thats why they're running RAID, because drives DO fail

what brand are the drives? thats some good SCSI drives, I'll guess Seagate
