seriously though, i need a rack for a 01 silverado extended cab short bed with a quick release rear bar, and it extends all the way to the front of the cab, with beefy stake pocket mounts, the best one i found so far are the amer-racks, but they are $300+. is there anywhere in raleigh that has custom size ones for reasonable prices? i dont want some universal fit shit that i might as well just build one by the time i get it set up right

i wouldn't say that. it's not huge, but we have three guys living in 1200 square feet. the garage will be used for parking as well as having fab shit in it, worktables, welder, air compressor, etc. as well as storiny my dad's two parts beetles. it's just a big garage, have you not read the thread with the dimensions?

i've got an aluminum one just sitting around that needs to be sold. it's a universal fit, but a nice one. pm for details. got a truck sitting at the house with an identical one on it if you care to see. no quick release rear bar.

I saw a really pretty one today on the back of a Nissan D21 (the original Hardbody).

It was made out of galvanized pipe, complete with couplers and tees.

Looked like a New York brownstone plumbing nightmare strapped to a pickup truck
