I either want an old school mercedes/VW to convert to a WVO car, or a chopper/sport bike for cheap that is easy on gas as well...

also does any one on here do bike work, like swappin out engines

old mercedes are very easy to convert, and they will run forever. however they are loud, and slow as shit.

how about a 150cc scooter - fast enough for any city streets, 70mpg

I'm going through a similar decision - what's the cheapest and most reliable way to get to work and back every day. I have the Porsche for real/fun driving, but it still needs work.

I like the idea of a small displacement bike or larger displacement scooter, but given the completely shitty driving going on here in Charlotte I'm leaning more toward the diesel mercedes - a fuel efficient tank with an automatic transmission.

personally, i would buy a rabbit or golf diesel..

but that should come as no surprise
