I liked them better when they were called Dr. Funke's 100% Natural Good Time Family Band Solution.

And, for future reference, selling out is the best measure of a band's quality.

I remember when S.C.I.E.N.C.E. came out. In my opinion that was their best album, then they started becoming more mainstream and their sound changed... Just wasn't the same band after that.

^^ yes, although I didn't get a chance to see them live then. I did see them soon after they came out with Make Yourself at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach. They played a lot of their songs from S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and were followed by a decent performance from System of a Down.

SCIENCE was their best album.

I wasn't really into ACLOTM.

But I did hear one leak called Earth to Bella that sounded closely related to the SCIENCE era type songs. Hope they don't change it again....

ACLOTM is my fave album (make yourself 2nd).

The lyrics just kick ass. Favorite song? Pistola.

Has anyone else heard their instrumentals on the Halo 2 soundtrack? The definitely reminded me of science/fungus.

The Live at Red Rocks dvd also has some good old school incubus.... Certain Shade of Green?

crow is my least favorite incubus full length.

science > makeyourself = Morning View > crow imo.

i know a lot of people disliked make yourself but it has some super chill beats and i think it is actually very well written

I enjoyed Make Yourself as well. Nothing beats SCIENCE though.

Also, I'm not ashamed to admit that I enjoy Incubus.

agree that s.c.i.e.n.c.e. is their best album, but i still enjoy all their albums. i highly recommend seeing them live, they put on an amazing show with a good mix of songs from every album plus some covers or jam sessions thrown in. saw them at alltel in '04 and Amherst, MA in '02

This is ACLOTM lite. Doesn't even compare. This is mid 90's christian rock with a few good tracks.

I still wouldn't call their last two albums shit. They're certainly poppier than Enjoy Incubus, S.C.I.E.N.C.E and Make Yourself, but I definitely wouldn't call them shit. But, I have enjoyed listening to Incubus' sound mature since picking up S.C.I.E.N.C.E. in early '98. I guess I'm one of the few who can look past mainstream success.

i can definitely look past mainstream success. Morning View was a great album and that came out years after they had big mainstream success with make yourself. i dont judge a band based on their success, merely the content in the music.

CLOM was very disappointing as are the songs i have heard from this cd. theyre not bad but not close to on par with the other albums imo.

I can see that in regards to ACLOTM, and maybe I haven't listened to Light Grenades enough, but LG is very satisfying. And again, that's my opinion and I don't expect everyone to agree.
