Are you guys planning on moving to long form at any point? We did enough short form in a year and a half to make me never want to do it ever again, but when we started doing long form we all descended so deeply into narcotics use that the group exploded.

The current plan is to stick with short form for now and add a long form team. Unfortunately, a lot of us are busy with jobs and classes and a social life to do anything right now.

^ I'm wondering about that myself. After I said that the two girls on the left need a better picture attitude, I realized that the one on the left is quite possibly a man.

As for being "clean," it's possible to be very funny and be clean. Bill Cosby's act was clean as a whistle and still hilarious. It's possible to do a hilarious clean improv show. However, I personally think that putting restriction on content in an improv show can put a mental block on the performers that can keep the best scenarios, even clean ones, from getting on to the stage. You don't have to be dirty to be funny, but the difference between saying "You fucking pussy" and "You big wuss" can be the difference between anchoring a quality scene and creating a launching pad to comic genius.

There are like 25 people who work hard every week to tweak, polish, and hone their skills.

The two guys that run it know exactly what their doing.

Show's at 7, it'll last as long as most Comedy Sportz tournament shows. here's the format:

3 teams, winner of the 1st half plays the team that didnt play the 1st half in the 2nd half.

It'll go:

1st Half

Opener
Game (Challenge)
Game (Choice)
Ref's Challenge, Head-to-Head

2nd Half

Opener
Game (Challenge)
Gamer (Choice)
Last Chance

Just to clarify a few things:

The cast photos are from halfway through last year. Some folks have joined since then, some have quit, and for a few, that was the only practice some went to.


More importantly, most of the proceeds from the show are going to Habitat for Humanity, so by going to see a comedy show, you're doing a good thing! Everybody wins! Even the homeless! Yay!

I've done improv, it was a class, but it was a full year... with some shows.


And I've seen the ones who advertise to be kid friendly and shit, and they are horrible.... Restricting improv is retarded, When Drew Carey and his crew came they were really raunchy and witty and it was awesome. You have to have a balance of the two... Being witty>swearing a lot, but you have to be unrestricted for the "witty" to have a great impact.
