i have a s video outlet on my cpu. can i hook that to my receiver and use that to view my computer screen on my tv? I am trying to hook my computer up so i can watch the game on my tv tommorow through pack pass. Also how good are the games on that service? I am not somewhere where they will pick it up on a bar being out of state

before anyone else says it, CPU = central processing unit
i think you're meaning PC.

but yeah hook your pc s-video to your tv s-video and flip through tv/video til you get it. sound is another issue though, you'll probably need a stero to rca converter.

The worst thing is that a lot of tech support and customer service arms of computer companies call it the cpu too. That, and the fact that people say it on tv a lot, are where it comes from. Kind of makes it hard to get mad at people who say it not knowing what it means.

It's used so often like that, it's started appearing as secondary definitions of CPU (usually with a note that it's an incorrect useage though.)

Quote :
"

<architecture>

1. central processing unit.

2. Occasionally used (although less and less) to refer to the
system unit.

i agree it's pointless and likely a waste of time to correct people since so many people call it a cpu, but saying cpu instead of computer or pc irritates the mess out of me too
