Stone isn't quite as bad as the stats suggest this game

It would be nice if his recievers would hold on to the ball when it hits them in the hands

Lol, it was awesome alright.

After 19 failed drives he solved the vaunted Akron defense.

Face it, he got bailed out on a great run after the catch by T.Baker and a blown coverage on Eugene on 4th and goal...

I guess the fumble is being blamed on Leroy Harris but i know one thing for sure is that Jay Davis would been blamed for that play last year, not the center.

He also ran a fucking option on 4th and 1. Now whoever called that play should be shot, but he should take blame for not audibling out and for not giving a good effort to get the first down. That was pathetic.

No. But his 4th quarter performance was better than any I remember last year.

Therefore, Stone still sucks, but has improved in the 4th quarter.

Clearly they have no other option, since they are not even discussing changing quarterbacks. Evans and Burke simply aren't ready for ACC play.

Well luckily when ACC play rolls around we will be trailing 24-3 in the 4th quarter every week.

That way he cant continue fooling everyone with 3-4 dump passes on one drive.

I'd love to at least find out if they're ready for ACC play. UNC sure didn't hesitate to put Sexton in, and Stone sucks a lot more than Dailey.

Why not give them a shot?

Dumping a young quarterback into a bad situation too early can often ruin his confidence and possibly his potential for the future. It'd be stupid to put Burke in this year.

And clearly Evans isn't up to par, not even to Stone standards.

I don't think Stone is a good quarterback, but I do think Amato and Trestman know what one looks like. And that is clearly not Evans.

This never happend.. You mean the 4th and 4 from the ~10 where he threw a swing pass to Eugene (not sure how you blow coverage on a swing pass) then Eugene beats the LB to the outside?!?!?

OHhhhhhhh.. guess thats what you mean

that's a pretty bold statement considering he hasn't even had his chance in a game yet...

have you ever seen him play? i watched the kid play in highschool, he's sick. and his stats from practice games are consistantly better than stone's.

TO BE FAIR it's not "chucks fucked up version"

a lot of people do that. Brent shaffer ran the same play for Ole miss and they got 40 yards out of it. akron was'nt fooled unfortunatly.

Evans threw for like 4800 yards and 50 TDs his senior year.

How bad can he be?

He played for Broughton so that means he played decent talent.

They used to not be blantantly obvious. When they lined up in the formation, myself & at least 2 other people around me all called the play. They only run 1 play out of that formation.
