As a recent graduate now without health insurance, I am having a hard time finding plans that have a co-pay on mental health. Unless I missed it, I didn't see any such plans with BCBSNC. Ideally I woud like to go to a psychiatrist once a month, so I'd like to pay around $30-40 per visit, and prescription drug benefits are not necessary. Besides that, a moderate deductible ($500-1000) would be desired and hopefully a premium under $150 a month for an otherwise healthy 24 year old male. Let me know if you know of any options or plans in North Carolina. Thanks! 9/11/2006 5:47:10 PM |

Do you know what plan (was it through a job?), cause all of the BCBSNC plans I see on their website say that mental health coverage is 50% covered after a deductible which seems like a hell of a lot to me. 9/11/2006 9:30:45 PM |

might be too late now, but if you were covered under your parent's plan while a full time student, you can use COBRA to continue that same coverage for 18 months i believe. youll have to pay for your own policy now, but i was assuming your old coverage had you covered under mental health. 9/11/2006 9:37:45 PM |

hmm, I believe I had coverage on my parents' old plan
but it has been just over a year since I was on that plan, I doubt I would still be eligible unfortunately 9/11/2006 9:53:24 PM |
