One of my co-workers deleted a folder in her Microsoft Outlook program. Does anyone know how we can recover her folder?

is it not in the deleted items folder in outlook?

if it is in there, you can restore it.

silly women...

but seriously, i know the folders are on the hard drive but i dunno if they're deleted if you delete a folder inside of outlook express as opposed to deleting the folder from windows explorer...

guitarguy's post might be a little confusing

outlook != outlook express

outlook stores things in one .pst file, outlook express stores things in separate files per folder (or it did like 5 years ago when i used it).

if she deleted the folder from the .pst and emptied the deleted items bin, she may be screwed. i have heard of outlook keeping emails in the .pst file until you manually go to "compress" but i don't know of a way to go about restoring from the pst file to the actual outlook folders.

guitarguy might have been trying to say that in outlook express, if you delete a folder, it doesn't necessarily delete the individual file that stores all the emails, just the reference to open that file in the outlook express folder list.
