This morning I woke up to my boyfriend telling me that there was a cat in his motor. So we went outside with food to coax it out. He had already driven up the road on his way to class, and thought she jumped out when he came back for something he had forgotten. So, we've been calling her 'Lucky' because she's lucky she wasn't hurt in her trip up the road! As soon as it heard the lid pop-she popped her head out of the radiator shroud and started purring and meowing up a storm!! This tells me that she is an inside cat. Then, she followed us inside and jumped up on the couch-another sign that she was an inside cat and not a wild stray. I really think someone threw her out. She has a small cut on the top of her hind foot and her front claws are really bad looking-they're all broken and slivered looking. She is very petite, black tabby with BEAUTIFUL gold eyes and she LOVES everything. She only wants to be petted and loved. She purrs a LOT! She's what I call a 'rubber kitty', you can roll her on her back, rub her belly, pet her anywhere you want at anytime you want! She likes to be held like a baby too. She's following my boyfriend around like he's the only person in the world and comes to me when he's ignoring her. She's cool as hell and I wish we could keep her, but we're not allowed to have pets here. I will take her to the pound if she's not gone by next week. I really don't want to do that, but its my only choice. I'd much rather her get a good home. Here's some pics! If you look closely at the pics you can see her claws.
pm with your interest, or post it here.

pretty cat - but if I had to guess she's part manx and is going to be BIG as an adult ... I'd love to take her and prob hundreds of other cats but I don't think my kitty would appreciate it. Good luck 9/15/2006 12:11:02 AM |

She is really small and has saggy teats, so I kinda think she's had a litter of kittens, that or she's just 'healthy'! She's not a kitten, I think she's about 24-30some weeks old...possibly.
bttt She slept on the foot of the bed all night long. 9/15/2006 8:13:39 AM |

30 weeks ... yeah, she could've had a litter. I think they can get pregnant as early as 20 weeks (5 months), but I don't know the gestation time for cats. Doesn't matter - babies or not doesn't change the fact she's pretty and appears to be very friendly 9/15/2006 8:27:18 AM |

I'm so trying to talk my roommate into adopting a cat... we worked out my dog situation... but, I have to say that cats rule... and if she can fit the bill I'd be so happy to have another one around. 9/15/2006 12:30:19 PM |

She looks very small to have had a litter, but her saggy belly is a definite give away! haha She is so sweet. I came home this weekend, but we left her some food and water out. I hope she's still there when we get back because I have some interest! 9/15/2006 3:11:04 PM |

if you think shes an indoor cat its possible that she got out and got into a fight, got scared and hid
she might actually belong to someone
since she didnt have a collar on, you might take her to a local vet and tell them you found her and think she is an indoor cat and wanted to see if they could scan for a microchip
she may have had a collar on but it could have snapped off if she got stuck on something (my cat has a snap away collar)
she seems really sweet and someone could be looking for her. if shes not microchipped theres nothing else you can really do but find her a home
a local vet might take her-- some vets will hold animals for adoption esp if shes young, well behaved and friendly 9/15/2006 9:46:05 PM |

We live around a mile from the next closest house. Pretty sure that someone threw this cat out. 9/15/2006 10:41:14 PM |

^^^I think she was high! haha She was loving the belly rubbing! And just being loved made her so happy. She slept on the foot of the bed all night last night, unless I changed positions, then she got in my face and went back to my feet. 9/15/2006 11:00:53 PM |

No, I'm not allowed to have pets at that house and she just came up. But I am pretty sure she would be fine if the other animals are well behaved. You're more than welcome to try and see! 9/16/2006 9:25:42 PM |

have you tried contacting any rescues?
what pound? if you're in the wake county SPCA's district then her chances are decent... 9/17/2006 1:44:12 PM |

I am waiting to hear back from the place you sent me in that pm. I am in the Wake County SPCA district if it comes down to that. Thanks for your concern!
I got back to the house this afternoon and she came running from across the yard and just loved me up. Now, 6 hours still later, shes still loving me up and jealous of this keyboard right now since it has both hands and she does not! haha
