we barely lose one non conference game without our best two players and now their is a complete consensus amongst the people on here that we are complete shit and can't beat anybody. i mean wow. if thats all it takes for you to give up on your team you don't deserve to be able to call yourself a fan. you should go ahead and have it taken away right now so if we start winning you can't be a part of our joy. im pretty sure unc fans think we are better than you guys do. and you know how lowly they think of us. THATS PATHETIC AND IM EMBARRASED TO BE A FAN OF THE SAME TEAM WHERE SCHOOL BOARD HATE THE TEAM

ok mr. i'm the best fan ever, lets consider this rationally.

Look at what Mr. Chest Amato has done since our 11-3 season. OH wait we've declined every year getting worse and worse. But But wait we had the best defense in the nation a few years ago, oh wait we had 3 first round picks last year yet we still continue to go down hill. humm.....

Now this year we start off with a power house like App, and we actually have trouble with them. Ok ok bad day first game of the season its cool we still won. Then comes Akkron and we...oh we lose, and had Stone not turned into superman for the last like 10 minutes of the game it wouldnt of been we barely lost. Fact of the matter is we should have beaten Akkron period.

So now to your everyones such a bad fan cause they don't support our team. I'm just gonna guess that 60% if not more of the people still support, root, yell, do everything possible for us as fans to do, in order to support our team. However, because our opinion is that Amato isn't doing a very good job, and we may need a new coach we're not "supporting the team" I'm sorry, but everyone can have their opinion and still support the team.

This is freakin message board what do you thinks gonna be said oh amato is so great it wasn't his fault we've had declining seasons since rivers left. Open your eyes jeez.

Oh and one more thing how have u "supported" the team in anyway more then other people on here.

this is the problem. you think just because you pay money to be in the club and go to the games you are a fan no matter what. that is no excuse to give up on the team after one game. in reality you are just using state football as something to do on saturdays.

-of course a team is going to drop off after losing one of the best college players of all time. you can't just bring in another rivers
-that 11-3 year proves chuck can do something with talent. we won every game we should have and lost to gt because holts int was ruled out but was really in. then ta and cotch were out the other 2 games. we crushed nd in the bowl.
-we've struggled because stone has taken a long time to develop. its not chucks fault the guy turned out to be a bit of a bust from what was expected right away.
-we did not have trouble with app. app played @ lsu close last year. did that lsu team suck?
-we had a good season last year (great season when we settled our lineup 1 loss lot of wins)
-chucks been victim of alot of misfortune
and akron was superman all game.

the stuff said on this message board gets out. it gets to the media and it gets the players. that kind of negativity is only going to spread and make things worse. the players lose focus when they know the fans are aginst them and their coach. you are hurting the team by taking the easy way out whne things get just a little bit rough you quit on our team and coach. that is a weak fan wait to the season is "over" before you talk about firing. we could still do big things this year 1 loss to akron doesnt end our season

you guys who focus on the akron loss must also think andre brown and aj davis arent good.

I've been an avid reader for several years now and thought it would be a good time to post

yes I agree that stone isnt a rivers, I wish he was better but that's too bad
amato does have a burden of high expectations, but hey not all promises are kept
who cares if we havent won an acc championship, who has in the last several years?
the only team I can think of is fsu? maybe md when they won a solid 10 games
but now that miami and vt are here, those chances are going to be slim.

people complain all the time, yes it's their opinion, but it's pretty intriguing how their opinion
DOES get out to the media, I recall when Herb Left that several media pointed out that there were a lot
of angry fans "on message boards" so YES our opinions do count

I dont care about winning the ACC championship (as of right now) I know we wont be in a BCS bowl anytime soon

but hey, I say we support our team and our coach. Everyone had doubt that stone would suck ass at the akron game, I think it shows a lot about how he can withstand all the commotion about him only throwing 36 yards in the APP game, and actually go out in the Akron game and do pretyy damn well in the 2nd half.

Like I said, I dont post much because all of these post are opinions. But I do think beleiving we can actually win games is contageous, I dont see everyone in their right mind going around saying Andre Agassi is old and sucks, when in the US Open people knew he would eventually lose, but EVERYONE gave their full support and had faith in his ability to will a few last "W's"

Our players know more about what's going on than you all think, our hope, faith, and opinions in our NCSU football team does mean something. Something that can help them build confidence and win a few games for their "fans"
