ok without watching the game i'm guessing this- 7 first downs for us, and a horrible third down percentage(i'll guess 20 percent)

how close am i?

evans 8-11 . 97 yards . 1 touchdown . 1 interception . sacked 0 times
stone 10-24 . 100 yards . 1 touchdown . 2 interceptions . sacked 2 times

we had 16 first downs to their 24.

274 offensive yards for us
442 offensive yards for them

more specifically...
77 rushing yards for us
261 rushing yards for them

whatever happened to andre brown and toney baker being so great and our remarkable defense?

i can't say much about the defense, but for brown and baker to do well we need an o-line, which we don't even come close to having.

Brown and Baker are great....the best running backs ever can't get any yards if the O-line sucks and the D puts 9 in the box because they know you can't pass

Brown didn't do badly -- he had 3.8 ypc. The problem is that run run pass only works if you can convert on third. We knew we couldn't and we were behind, so we started passing more and running less.

Also, they made a concerted effort not to have him run 250 yards like he did last time.

I HATE WHEN PEOPLE REFER TO YPC

if you get 3.8 yards per carry and coaches say, if we ran the ball every time it would be a first down...

WELL THEN DO IT...

it drives me crazy...i've heard so many losing coaches say that...run it every time if that stat is going to hold true...
