How in the fuck does this shit happen? We beat last year's Div.1 AA champions 2 weeks ago and it wasn't even in the scoreboard feed. This is further proof that UNCommunity College has media bias.

Um, where?

VV I'm on the ESPNU page and I still don't see it. Is it regionalized around the country by IP or something? I'm in CA and I can't even find the UNC score anywhere.

I only see it on the ESPNU page

and that would be because the game was aired on ESPNU.

i think we have bigger problems than whether or not UNC's score gets on ESPN

Thats not the point though. The reason most State fans get angry is because UNC never gets the blame when they're shitty in something. Last year, it was us (the fans) who were lambasted on ESPN when people booed Amato on the big screen.

This year, every legitimate and pseudo-media outlet is busting Amato's nuts over our situation. You never hear how John Bunting is such a fucking dumbass for losing so much but you do hear about how Amato can't get the job done.

Media: After a UNC loss, refer to Bunting's "character" and the team's "commitment"

After NCSU loss, refer to Amato's shortcomings as a coach, team's ineptitude and
fans' nearsightedness

Um, when Bunting acts like a fucking moron and starts making bullshit excuses and bringing 3 schools that have nothing to do with the game into it then he'll get shit too..

Once again, Amato gets shit because he was the one who came in with the championship talk and is so flamboyant. If Bunting was that way, which he certainly is not, then he'd be getting shit to.

If we just lost and went about our business it wouldn't be as big a story.

football is #2 there

and the media is either covering up the fact that they stink by not wanting to shed negative light on the school

or they don't care because it's expected that they suck

Did you ever hear about what Bunting said to Toney Baker while everyone was recruiting him?

Baker actually admitted in a press interview that he did not believe what Bunting said about Amato's program. He said that Bunting and Co. told him that Amato was running a dirty program and that NCSU was close to recieving an NCAA investigation.

Later, a statement went out from the NCAA reminding coaches that they could not talk about the program discipline status of other schools to recruits.

Nothing else happened, no media attention, no bullshit

of course I am... but I just think you are a fool if you think ESPN cares enough about NC State football to have some evil conspiracy planned out to fuck them over

It might not equal that, but what you've got is definitely an inferiority complex.

Jaybee, sometimes I wish I could reach across the internet and throttle people like you. But alas, technology doesn't allow me to do that yet.

And yes I have an inferiority complex with UNC. I didn't have enough pink pastels in my wardrobe.

This isn't a matter of conspiracy against NCSU. This is a matter of giving too much cred to certain schools because they are deemed "fanworthy"

now if you want to talk about a true ESPN conspiracy, we can talk about how they led to Peyton being robbed of he Heisman by Charles fucking Woodson....

espn could not push duke vs. unc any harder. they essentially made up the rivalry.

^true

UNC/Duke was a rivalry before ESPN, but not to the extent that people claim it is now. ESPN was pretty new and growing into the nation's number 1 news channel when unc and duke won their titles in the early nineties. Unfortunately for us, we had just slipped into nowhere after winning the ACC in '89. (and after sanctions)

ESPN made unc/duke, period.
