The soccer game was pretty funny.

What the video tried to imply, however, is stupid. This isn't everything you need to know about philosophy, it's everything YOU personally know. This is painfully obvious in the numerous instances you've demonstrated your flat-out ignorance of the concepts and their places in history.

You're not very good at drawing inferences, are you? Of course not. I study philosophy, but this issue extends past philosophy. You should have at least a basic understanding of what you criticize as useless.

But naturally, you just like to run your troll game on this website. The only thing about your trolling though, is that it entertains no-one. In fact, I doubt it even entertains you -- I bet all of the fucking baseless negativity you spew on here reinforces a deeper sense of negativity about your own life. Nobody who spends that many hours a day posting baseless, negative shit on a message board can get away without it affecting his general mental health.

Let's recap: You have no ability to draw reasonable inferences. Additionally, you have practically no knowledge of philosophy, yet you think you're qualified to enter a philosophical discussion. On top of that, you have no knowledge of the history of philosophy and science, but think that you're qualified to offer your incorrect assumptions about that as well.

You pretty much lose.

The video is topical, its funny, and its about philosophy. So its perfect material for the soapbox. The only reason why I had to respond to you with that rediculous question is because YOU THINK i dont like philosophy. Maybe you should look at yourself. What ultimately amuses me is what youre not aware of. And believe me, I am content to teach you something very valuable. If you cant take that someone doesnt like your specific area of academic interest that you must argue with them, then I feel sorry for you. You should know the value of philosophy without needing to explain it to other people, it should be enough.

There's a difference between not liking something and not knowing anything about something.

You know nothing about philosophy -- your continued ignorance of the subject is not a mystery to us. It's quite obvious that you stumble around lost in philosophy threads, lashing out as a result of your misunderstandings.

It's fine that you don't like philosophy, but to somehow belittle its contributions because of that is asinine and ridiculous.

I don't like soccer personally but does that mean I'm going to argue that it's not a "real" sport? Does that mean I should argue no soccer players are actually athletes, and that it has a marginal role in the world because I personally don't like it?

If you believe shit like that, then a dose of philosophy would be good for you. It's sad because from all of your posts, you obviously take yourself to be a rationally minded fellow who generally arrives at good conclusions. However, it's obvious your grasp of logic and reason are deeply flawed, and since you "don't like" philosophy, you're just going to let yourself stagnate that way.

Oh well, your problem really. I hope more people like you in real life than like you here -- because one thing that both sides of any argument in the soap box can agree on is that you're an obnoxious, loud-mouthed ignoramus.

I am going to blow your mind. I like philosophy -- the useful stuff that is, not the spookly language (ie, a priori). Maybe Ive taken plenty of philosophy courses, recieved plents of A+'s in those courses. How else would I know whats funny about that video?
