Hola peeps, I'd like some advice from some of you design students. I'm going to paint my living/kitchen area and my bedroom. Here are some pics of the living room and kitchen. My idea was just to paint a couple of the smaller walls in bright colors to match the ottoman and offset the big red couch-- blue and green and maybe orange on different walls. My roommate thinks I should paint all the walls like green or something. My bf suggested painting the one big wall that runs from my living room to my kitchen. What yall think? Oh yeah, and here are some pics of the paintings I've bought to hang up.

Damn, that is an akward layout...
In the living room I would do something like the light gold/cider color from the ottoman and some of the prints. It would definitely go well with a red couch too.
Regardless, be careful with dark paint. It will totally dominate a room and make it feel smaller. 9/20/2006 11:17:07 PM |

oh yeah...i guess i didnt really read your post.
we have a huge wall the runs up the staircase from the living room to the upstairs hallway (which is white). we painted it the yellowish/goldish/beigish color and it looks good contrasting with the white.
