"Not one of the smarter moves of the year," the source said. With the Marlins still clinging to wild-card hopes, Johnson tried to stay loose by playing catch in an indoor batting cage. That he left four innings later with forearm cramping and was subsequently shut down for the year with a strained ligament did not help Girardi. Nor has it helped that Girardi's tense relations with Marlins management have not improved. The rookie manager and general manager Larry Beinfest "barely speak" and have "no relationship at all," the source said."

Marlins in Charlotte would be the heat

On Mike & Mike in the Morning this morning, one guy was arguing for him at the manager of the year, but the other (rightfully) said it'll never happen to due the Mets manager getting the Mets back on top their division, and in striking fashion. Joe will just get overlooked, but maybe he'll lead the ole Cubbies to a World Series or something

Loria is an asshole (he was the last owner of the Expos). He wants to move the team and set it up to fail this past season, and they actually did well despite his best efforts to the contrary. He's a real-life version of the owner from the movie Major League.
