Okay, guys, so when you're tryna tackle a runner...are you supposed to look out for guys like that or just gun it after your target and get knocked the fuck out?

I saw a block like that this past Friday at the local high school football game. Dude was returning a punt and the tackler was running perpendicular to the sideline and then BOOM by a blocker. The whole crowd was like "OHHHHH" and was on their feet hoping the other kid did not die.

He seriously went from vertical to horizontal in no time. The kid was okay though, but damn that was a huge block - I wish I had video of it

If you get hit square on a vicious block like that, often times it doesnt hurt at all. It just feel like you got knocked down normally.

You realize how bad it was when you run to the sideline and everyone is laughing thier ass off at you, and then in the film session when they rewind the play 20 times.

At 5'8", 180 I got my fair share of crushing blocks like that, especially on special teams when you can't see it coming.
