The fans at SU, were crazy last weekend....but I must say the game day atmosphere had all of the makings of a small SEC school tailgate....there were people steaming gumbo in massive pots, there was a French/Creole band playing outside of the stadium, there was a real jaguar (caged ofcourse) on the heart of campus)..these people are fucking nuts about football...which made it completely SWEET when on the 1st drive by Southern, NCCU corner picked off a pass and ran it 96 yards for a TD.....the game day experience was cool...MINUS the pricks who broke into our mens locker room and stole championship rings, money, etc....

yeah nutsmacker, your right, it's in a neighbrohood that halfes resembles downtown Durham, and half of it is really nice. I enevr once felt threatened or anything..plus people were so drunk or the keister all they cared about was the gumbo cooking, a good drink, the band playing at halftime, and why in the hell they were getting beat by a Division II school from NC!!?

Didn't someone get shot and robbed right across from the stadium? Not that NC State can say much, because of some dumbasses here, but cities and states need to be more concerned about college neighborhoods. This shit is happening all over the south in regards to Traditionally All Black schools. They generally don't have the pull of other universities and colleges so they get shit upon.

yeah, Ive heard since the land is cheaper in around run down neighborhoods, taht's why schools/colleges develop in deprived areas...i wonder if Duke/NCCU had the choice of uprooting their campuses would they try moving them to other parts of NC,, such as maybe Orange or Wake County(space permitting ofcourse)...

..one thing about Southern's campus, they could use more street lights around their stadium..NCCU is well lit at night time..maybe that would help deter crime somewhat...But SU had a TON of police, local and state police on hand for the game...and not ocne did I see a fight, nor once did I hear a single curse word from anyone in the stands..the Southern University fans were really cool with us, even though we were yelling and throwing stuff and acting crazy....and the food there was FUCKING AWESOME..Gumbo and onion rings....and cajun shrimp....fucking awesome...!
