i guess if old thread is dead, we'll use this one. so you could preorder it and get it at eb on oct 7 but "emergence day" is the 12th, on a sunday so all the best buys and major retailers will have it...

Why has there not been more hype about this game? I haven't heard about this game since before the 360 came out.

perhaps there has been, and I haven't been paying attention, but if a game is hyped correctly you don't have to be paying attention to hear about it.

im sure all of october they will be...but youre right it hasnt been a constant thing all year long...e3 as huge and then fizzled off...im sure MS has something up their sleeve since they is supposed to be their killer 360 app...

it is the 1 game consistently in all their campaigns though. people know about it.

i think it is hard to hype it a super-ton, cuz it is "more of the same." i bet it'll be fun though.

its supposed to have the best of all games in one. Example....it takes the destructable enviorment of Red Faction (back in the day) and makes it 10 times better with a fully destructable envrioment. It also takes things that games like soldier of fortune had, fully destructable characters and improves on that...slapped in HD format

I don't know why people don't think this game is going to be great. I live for this game, looking at forums and all and cannot wait for it to be released. If you read up on it, it sounds like it is going to be great. Graphics look sick, and I read today that if you walk onto a body part on the ground, it will move and all. This game to me is testing what is known right now for 360 graphically as well as conceptually.

^^ i think the problem was it was scaled heavily towards side missions. they were alright for a bit, but 3 sets of 8 missions of "snatch" got old.

multiplayer was fun, but not precise enough (between arcadey controlls and some lag) to be great.

Every single game team out there should take note of this about how more subdued music can work (i'm looking at you bungie), though I'd be surprised to see Mad world actually make it into the actual game, it just shows how cinematics don't always have to be just fucking wild and fast tempo-ed on every single thing
