Its a personal tradition for me to go to the NCSU bookstore every year and find a nice ball cap for the upcoming sports season (football/basketball/baseball) Although there was one hat that I liked, I feel that most of the selections were pretty lame. I don't know about yall, but I can only take so much of subdued logos over bluejean fabrics.

As I continued my tradition today, I have to give a shout-out to my favorite ball caps of all time in the NCSU bookstore:

The Black fitted cap with the White block "S" (no N and C) on front. Haven't seen this one in 3 years since they officially nixed the plain "S" logo

The Zephyr Red hat with white block "S" (with N and C) on front and white breathe holes (with silver and black trim)

Grey cap from last year with red block "S" on front


NCSU bookstores has gone the way of Kmart recently wth their "Not-so-good" or "Craptacular" selection of ballcaps. They need to reverse this trend and get back to basics. A good ball cap is a necessary piece of tailgating equipment here at NC State. Please stop fucking it up.

lids is the place to go, the one in crabtree always has a really good selection... as well as the one in car town center. i like the traditional baseball caps too, as well as the solid white ones with the block S and lids always has a good selection.

My favorite State hat is that (^^^^^) design.

It's actually a "Top of the World" brand, flex fit. By far my most comfortable hat.

funny, i just bought one today, It's has a white front half and a red mesh back half. Block S on the front, wolf on the back, and stretch fitted. I'm usually for classic but I like it.

I got this one a week or two ago but it's white with red instead of red with black. Stretch fit, mesh... Never really liked the stretch fits/mesh hats but I really like this one. Never seen the red/black one until this picture (from lids). I bought the white/red one from Lids.

I won't buy caps that I can't look at and try on in person. Too many caps are made too shallow/don't fit right on your head. Combine that with the fact I live out of state means a dwindling supply of NCSU caps in good shape for me.
