I'm not sure if anyone knows what is wrong with my TV, but I figured I'd ask. My Sony TV, about 5-6 years old, having problems with the screen. The sound works perfectly, but the screen blinks picture and blank screen a couple of times, and sometimes turns and stays "off" for good. Sound works perfectly the whole time. Use to be left turned on for a while.

I was wondering what the problem would be, how to fix it, as well as how much it might cost and where I could take it to get it fixed. Thanks

the problem is its 5-6 years old, it would cost more to fix than its worth, and the solution is to buy a new tv

So I take it the costs outweigh the benefits. That's what I'm trying to figure. Being poor, I hoped it would be cheaper to fix it than buy a new one b/c it is a 32" TV
