How are you dudes getting your PS3 on launch day? No one is taking pre-orders or any of that stuff, so the only way looks like camping out. I think I might do it. How about you folks?

ive got better things to do with my time. sure you can make a decent bit of money, but i have a feeling you wont be allowed to buy more than 1, and even then you'll have to camp out for an assload of time to get the single console. 360's were sparse, ps3's will just be rediculous. again, not worth it.

PS3 is so far behind the 360...im sure your arguments for a ps3 will be it has hdmi, blu-ray, etc...

hdmi is not a big problem for me, my 360 looks good enough on my hdtv with the hd cables...
i dont care if it has blu-ray, im not going to buy blu-ray movies...and so what if the games are blu-ray; until they can figure out how to maximize their consoles' power, there's no point in buying it if you already have a 360 which has their 2nd big round of games coming out plus xbox live if infinity times better than what sony can come up with.

his other points arent far off. blue-ray wont be a big selling point for most people until it wins the format war. as of now, i cant imagine paying extra for them, despite them looking nice. there is also quite a limited selection. people also used to argue that HDTV might not be a great selling point for the 360 because it isnt widely adopted. now think about that and add 1080p as the new selling point...an even smaller market.

that said, im sure sony's new online model will be better than before, but XBL dominated last generation and we havent heard enough information to make us believe otherwise this go round.

last year, it was a matter of going to best buy at 6am and then popping into target every morning at opening for a couple weeks.
