It doesn't matter who the yankees get, how old he is, how much they pay him they will still find a way to screw it up. What they should be thinking about is who is going to want A-Rods contract and how dumb are they going to look when they release one of baseballs greatest managers of ALL TIME. I hate the yankees but Joe Torre is by far one of the best but I love seeing Steinbrener and the Yankees as dumb as possible----GO TIGERS

It's great to see the Yanks spending astronomical amounts of cash only to suck it up when it matters......I don't understand what steinbrener/cashman are thinking with some of the deals they pull. I hope they can torre so they'll suck even worse

blah, blah, blah. The Mets payroll was 5th this year and it is $17M less then 3 years ago... they have a budget and they stay within it..
