he was at unc after we fired him in 2000, then got fired with torbush, then was at clemson from 01-04, didnt coach last year, and then took the job at va tech this year.

he has made players out of barnette, rivers, whitehurst(who was terrible until his last 2 years) and even that old UNC QB he coached out there, Vick, and now Glennon who wasnt known until this year.

hes a solid offensive coach and can really develop a QB into a proficient passer. He has an eye for talent thats for sure. he just makes a crappy head coach.

and you can thank Joe Pate for discovering and recruiting Rivers... and bringing him to NC State.

O'Cain has always been a good assistant coach.. he just couldn't get it done as the head coach at NCSU.

he never coached marcus vick, this is his first year at VT, he was out of football last year, they even have said on the game a few times this is his first year at VT

i didnt mean to say he coached rivers, but he did help him get here and helped in the recruitment for him

also for marcus vick he did actually work with him, but prior to his run ins...it was only like a week or so I believe is what i saw, and that Vick didnt like the Vtech chances this year anyways.

so if he worked with him for a week this spring, he didnt help him become a good qb. ocain was selling insurance last football season and took the job in the spring after the qb coach last year left for the nfl. so if he gets credit for making vick a good qb, then by your reasoning give him credit for rivers also since he talked to him at some point before he came to nc state. and he didnt like VT chances this year, becuase they told him to get the fuck out, cause hes a dumbfuck that cant stay out of trouble.

as for Vick, he coached him enough to tell him to GTFO of town.
