We use a wireless router and a wireless adapter to connect to xbox live and recently it has been saying that it cannot find xbox live. It goes through and says "cables connected", "ip address configured", "dns resolved", "xbox live not found". We've also tried hooking it directly to the router with a cable but that didn't work either. All of our computers have no trouble connecting to the network, and under the connection status it says that the xbox is connected too. Any advice?

have you used live before? on the originals didnt you have to pop a cd in there or something? perhaps a major server or router was down for a moment? ive had a lot of problems with live connectivity, but never seen this eh.

yeah we used it last year at the dorms with a direct ethernet connection. Now at our apartment we have the wireless adapter and it has been working up to this point. We have our own router with a password set.

xbox live is down, theyre doing maintanence and updating stuff for their fall update for the 360 and i assume theyre working on the regular xbox stuff too

but they clearly still have some issues...if you go to http://www.xbox.com and click on My XBox then click on the Sign In Now link it doesnt take you to any kind of username/password dialogue box
