Anyone having any experience using ldap server to get address book entries with thunderbird?

edit->preferences (or wherever...i guess this varies between windows/linux) -> composition -> addressing ->directory server->edit->add

name: [name]
hostname: ldap.ncsu.edu
base dn: ou=people,dc=ncsu,dc=edu
port: 636
bind dn: [blank]
"use ssl connection" checked

->advanced

scope: subtree


works for me
