Anyone lived there? Have suggestions on places to look, places to avoid? Studio-2 Bedroom. 1 bedroom preference.
What places to avoid? Bad neighborhoods, etc? I'm looking on line, but can't go down yet, and of course no place is going to advertise they have roaches bigger than a cat...
So TWW, help? 10/22/2006 11:17:59 AM |

So NO to Pender County.
You moving there for a job?? Where exactly is the job?? If it's in Wilmington, no reason to move further away. If it's in Pender, still stay in Wilmington.
There are a lot of apartment complexes in Wilmington and most of them are pretty nice. Just don't get too close to the University, because they'll obviously be filled with college students. I think I remember Mill Creek Apartments and the Reserves being pretty nice and in good locations (somewhat affordable also).
And if you love the beach, Lions Gate (I'm pretty sure that's the name) are pretty awesome townhouses located right before the bridge going to Wrightsville. 10/22/2006 11:40:04 AM |

These are the two sites I've used the most in apartment searching, don't know if either will be helpful to you though. 10/22/2006 11:46:44 AM |

ahh, I remember when lions gate and mccumber terrace were about the only two things on the way to the beach. The rest was pretty much all woods. And I could shoot guns across from Hardy Parker farm. which nowadays is like saying I shot guns in Landfall across from Mayfaire.
those were the days. Who else here is sad that wilmington became too trendy? I can't even stand it now, half the fuckers are from NJ.

I live in wilmington in Abbott's Run, its near the college so its full of students though. Look in teh ogden/porters neck area, its full of young professionals, most people I work with (general electric) live in that area. 10/23/2006 8:48:10 AM |

Mill Creek is gotten very ghetto. If you like your car broken into, that is the place to be. 10/23/2006 12:41:49 PM |

Oh yeah...tell them to get one of those new places near the Mayfair center. I think there are several to choose from now, and they're all pretty sweet.10/24/2006 9:39:12 AM |
