im gonna say browns and quinn would be most likely of that bunch. i actually think troy smith should go before quinn though.

adrian peterson aint going first after his injury. he has a shot at top 10 though depending on how well he rehabs between now and the combine.

I think if AP returns, he'll fall victim to the Deuce McAllister/Rudi Johnson drop

well, as a browns fan...i want to end the pathetic sharade that is my life

but seriously, they may go after Troy Smith with him being the hometown guy. Like the Texans should have done with Vince Young.

Calvin Johnson will be the best NFLer out of those three, but I doubt he'll be the #1 pick

Assuming Arizona will keep Leinart and Edge, who are they going to get?

fuck that.....i can somewhat understand the "Shoulda drafted Bush", but the "shoulda drafted Vince" holds no stock. David Carr is a pretty damn good QB.

This draft is supposed to be stocked with tons of defensive players... if I were in charge of things in Arizona, and we were picking in the top 3, I'd try to move out of that spot WITHOUT asking for The King's New Clothing, try to stockpile some more picks (maybe 1 or 2 mid-rounders, along with swapping firsts), and address the offensive line and defensive shortcomings.

yeah I agree

swap your one high, for two mid-round picks, and grab the best 2 defensive players

I dont see why they would need Offense, other than O-line

Not that I know a lot about the Card's defense, but they had five turnovers against Oakland and six against the Bears. What are they missing?

Tackling

It's nice to be able to make the big play (INT), but not when you sacrifice the small play (Defensive stop).

assuming he comes back healthy, Peterson will be the #1 pick easy.

If not, then it would come down to need and who has the pick

Not defense, their defense is okay. Their offensive line is HORRIBLE.

I agree that Johnson will be the best NFLer out of the group.

But the cards are pretty much set at the offensive skill positions. They have a (supposedly) good RB, a good future QB, and 2 fantastic recievers.

They need linemen badly, on both sides of the ball, if they get a top 3 they definately need to trade out.

Raiders or Browns should take a QB, but I'm still not sold on Quinn or Smith.

I haven't seen Chris Leak on any of the first round mocks, they could be a steal for the Raiders in the late first (if they trade) or early 2nd round. If they get to the mid first round, I think they should look at Brian Brohm.

Quinn and Brohm will be, by far, the best NFL QBs in the draft. It's not even really close.

They have the size, arm strength, and mobility. I don't see any other QBs in this draft that are close honestly. Smith and Leak are good college QBs but I don't see them translating into the NFL as well...

i'd love to see the dolphins get brohm, but the way they keep playing, they might try to sneak up on that #1 overall

brady quinn is awful. He pads his stats vs shitty defenses and typically throws half his passes behind his receivers.

adrian peterson will stay another year

Johnson will fit in well with the Titans

I see the Raiders going with Brady Quinn, the cardinals with Joe Thomas (OT), the Lions with Leon Hall, cleveland will prly get the 2nd best QB like Brian Brohm or someone

I don't know, it just seems like AP would come out knowing he is 1st round because his family probably needs the money.

^ also, he is very wild with his running style... he could get injured seriously and never make a dime if he stays another year.

Id also like to say how fucking stupid Mel Kiper is and how i crush his projections year in and year out, to to brag about myself, but to show that someone with 99% less resources can be better than some self proclaimed expert

Leak will probably end up better in the NFL than in college simply b/c he won't have to run that urban meyer spread offense. he didn't go to UF to run the option and got screwed when meyer came in. he's a pure pocket passer

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.html

Seems like a pretty good draft projection, updated often it seems.

They messed up some flashing ad and it makes the whole second half of the draft flash, I had to highlight all of it to be able to read it.

Anyway, they project Tank Tyler #25 to the Saints

Quote :
"25. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
DEMARCUS TYLER
DT | North Carolina St. | Scouting Report
So far one of the feel good stories of the 2006 NFL season has been the Saints, who somehow continue to win despite going 3-13 last year. Even though their win/loss record is impressive the Saints still has some pretty glaring weaknesses at defensive tackle and linebacker that they need to address. After almost taking A.J. Hawk #2 overall they would probably love to get a shot at a similar player in Paul Posluszny but since he's off the board they opt for DeMarcus Tyler. No player has helped himself as much as "Tank" this season and he might now be a first round pick next April like Mario Williams, Manny Lawson and John McCargo were in 2006."

yeah, if he gets another year under Cutcliffe (who might not be there, might be getting a head coaching gig somewhere again) and continues at this pace he could be a Top 10 in 2008
