No offense, but with a name like Dong Wan Kim, it leads me to be very suspicious that this is a Chinese knock off like you can find on Ebay. I know because I have one and you almost cannot tell.

Thanks Steve for your concern, however, I guarantee this is not a knock off. Who ever wins the bid can pick it up at my apartment. 11/2/2006 12:38:56 AM |

TNF is at the same pricepoint as every other "non-trendy" brand of skiing/outdoor gear of comparable quality.
But you'd have to be involved with such activities to know that and not just a TWW keyboard athlete. 11/3/2006 10:07:47 AM |

The North Face stuff has always been expensive... just nobody knew about it until it hit the trend state it's in now.

Mountain Hardwear is becoming the same thing as The North Face... however right now people are so caught up in having Denali jackets and what not, that not as many people are catching on to the Mountain Hardwear trend.
Either way, both brands are very reputable and i have no problem incorporating either of their products into my hikes and such. They both stand behind their gear.11/7/2006 2:46:22 PM |
