i think FSU will be higher than 8, maybe as high as 4. i don't think they lost anyone from last year.

and we'd better fucking finish higher than clemson.

but the rest looks aight, without having seen/heard much about the other teams.

no andy. atsur and ferguson are very talented. so id degand if we get him which we probobly will sooner or later. grant could be an all american the way he finished last seaon. you guys are underestimating everyone. we can finish as high as 3rd but will probobly end up 6th or 7th. 9th worst case scenario if degand or furg cant play or we get walloped with atsur out. FACT

furgue will be a flat out star at ncstate. the kid is fast tall and can shoot lights out. he's liek a 6'5 kyle korver. he will work great with what we're tyring to do here. we wil flat out fly if we get degand not many teams will be able to keep up.

6th may or may not be good enough to get to the NCAA tournament, but I'll give us the benefit of the doubt as usual and put us IN.

We were good enough to beat who we SHOULD beat (and not even all the time! dont forget losses to Wake Forest last year, Temple, Clemson, etc.), but not anyone beyond that. Herb was a solidly mediocre coach. This was exposed when it really mattered: the postseason.

Our only two players with any significant experience are Atsur and Grant, and Atsur is currently injured. Everyone else is unproven. This year will depend on how well Atsur and Grant are able to lead our young team to play defense and unselfish basketball. The only positive about this year is that the young guys don't have to learn a princeton offense and everyone is learning a new system together. That can bring unity and fluidity. It will be a better brand of basketball. But our downfall will be the lack of size and depth on our team. We will finish somewhere between 8th and 12th IMO.

A bench is most important in the postseason, when you play so many games back to back. we will be fine in the regular season.

We actually get a chance to get a real upbeat rhythm going this year. once we hit that, i think we have the speed and shooting to really take it to at least the middle of the pack.

in 3 years, we will compete for the acc.

HOW ABOUT GIVING CHUCK THE AMOUNT OF TIME WE GAVE GIMPY HERB BEFORE WE RUN HIM OUT TOO, OK? We have to be fair about this, no double standards. There are increasing reasons to get rid of Amato, but Herb had even more reasons against him since about 1999 (horrible PR skills, no motivation, bad playcalling, horrible offense, never playing to win, just to keep a lead, i could go on)

The injury bug always hits NCState. Evtimov, Levi Watkins, Scooter Sherill....that's just some of the ones right off my head in the past 4-5 years. And as far as fatigue, WE RAN A PRINCETON OFFENSE. Not much running involved there. We're playing more uptempo now and thus more likelihood of injuries. Just ONE injury to one of our starters would be devastating this year because we have NO BENCH.
