nothing new, i don't think. CC companies can charge whatever they want on their cash advances. I often get 0% cash advance APR for 1 year offers. With savings and CD interest rates relatively high right now, I've gotten a couple of those cards, withdrawn cash to near the credit limit (with 3% withdraw fee), and opened a 12-month CD at 5.25% with the cash. Then make about double the monthly minimum every month, and at the end of the year when the CD matures, pay the CC balance in full and have a nice little payday. 11/2/2006 4:43:49 PM |
