do i have to go to class...it's a 100-level course, so i'm assuming they take attendance of some kind...

when i took it i didnt do the lab, sorry
the cool thing about attendance there is that all you gotta do is come in, sign in, and leave
if you get the athletic review you are good...if not, you gotta study a shitload of old tests
if you go to his review sessions and take REALLY good notes, you will get atleast a b
if you go to the review sessions, take good notes, and review his old tests, you will get atleast an a
if you get the athletic review, dont go to review sessions, and dont study the old tests you will get at least an a 11/2/2006 9:05:16 PM |

^^ some of the material may have been interesting but the prof was way too boring for me to want to learn any of the stuff 11/2/2006 11:33:19 PM |

depends on the lab TA... when I took it, my labs never lasted more than 30 mins because he gave us the answers... but I have heard others say they were in lab for the whole time period.
easy grade if you take notes/ find someone with the correct old tests...
very hard to pay attention, esp. if you have Dr. Kimberly (?)... put me to sleep 11/3/2006 12:02:32 AM |

^^ that's something like $500 more since it's only offered through distance education...i have to take soil science at the same time, so i'm hoping they'll be similar in enough ways that each one helps in the other class...i'm one of those people that only goes to classes that i enjoy/feel like i learn something, so i imagine i'll go, sign in, and leave...anyone have the old tests they'll let me borrow to study? 11/3/2006 12:02:57 AM |

With kimberly, expect 40 question assignments on vista, for a while there'll be 3 a week.
They aren't just simple easy questions, there'll be lots of googling and wikipedia action going on as you search for rather obscure data such as the total combined annual flow rate for earth's rivers...
But yeah, that's not a big deal. 11/3/2006 12:18:20 AM |
