That depends on what you want. Look up the features of both and make your decision. Be sure to check out the PSP's games and see if they interest you. Don't forget to check out the PSP emulation scene.

You can get a used PSP and a 4GB memory stick for about 250 bucks. You can run homebrew, "legal backups of PSP games", MP3s, videos, and even put porn on there to your hearts content. I think its a much better investment than an ipod, concidering all the features.

PSP can do more, but it's a little harder to carry around. I use my cell phone as my mobile music player, so i'd tell you to go with the PSP.

agreed. i use my PSP as an "iPod." the iPod's music organization is much nicer, however.

Where can you get this PSP? Also what is homebrew and how does it work?

homebrew=code written by anyone that isn't an official Sony developer. So like, emulators, games, other programs, etc. Any PSP will run them (or can be made to run them) unless it is a very brand new 2.8+ firmware PSP.

"Where can you get this PSP?"

El Nacho was just selling one in Classifieds, but he sold it. You should check here, eBaay, or on craigslist for Firmware 1.50 PSPs (homebrew capable) because the douches at EB and GameStop will usually refuse to help you (corporate has told them not to encourage hacked systems, though rarely a few employess will help you with piracy, its not worth it to bother with them).

Unless you can find a white boxed Value Pack PSP around somewhere, you can't buy a new PSP that will support full homebrew because new PSPs have a different motherboard that firmware 1.50 isn't compatible with. If you get a PSP with firmware 2.71 or lower you can run most homebrew (and can downgrade to 1.50 if its the old model), but what you want is a good 1.50 firmwared PSP.
